AnnoyATtiny85 Programming


I intend to go into more detail here in the future, but for now, I wanted to at least have something as a starting point for anyone who’d like to try this.
When assembled, the kit makes available via a female header the reset, SCK, MISO, and MOSI pins. Vcc and ground can be easily accessed using gator clips. Male-to-male jumper wires can be inserted into a standard ISP connector, and plugged into the female header, or have the gator clips attached to them to run to the Vcc and ground pins.

It may not be pretty, but it works.

In order to compile the source, you will need Arduino IDE 1.0 or newer, and attiny support for the Arduino IDE.

The code can then be compiled and uploaded to the device using any programmer supported by the Arduino IDE. I use an Arduino as ISP for programming, since I always have an extra Arduino board lying around.
